Overview
What Sossoldi is, what it does, and where to go next.
Sossoldi is a free and open source wealth management app: it tracks accounts, investments, income, expenses and budgets, and turns them into one number — your net worth. It is written in Flutter and runs on iOS and Android.
What it does today #
- Net worth: assets minus liabilities, recalculated on every change.
- Accounts: bank accounts, cash, investments and property, in multiple currencies.
- Transactions: income, expenses and transfers with categories and subcategories, searchable.
- Budgets: a monthly limit per category, with the remaining amount visible.
- Recurring payments: scheduled once and counted when they fall due.
- Charts: spending by month and by category.
- Backup: full CSV export and import. Data stays local, there is no Sossoldi account or server.
The current release is 1.0.0, published on 20 August 2026 and available from the App Store, Google Play and F-Droid.
What is not there yet #
- Open banking is in the codebase but not reachable from the interface: no transactions are imported from a bank automatically.
- Cloud sync does not exist. Moving data between devices means exporting and importing a CSV file.
- Translations: the released app is in English; Italian and Portuguese are in progress.
The roadmap describes the phases, without dates.
Where to go next #
- Core values — the principles the project is held to.
- Setup guide — build the app from source.
- Contributing — issues, pull requests and the review process.
- Privacy policy — what the app stores and what it never sends.
